KAGOZ BUSINESS LISTING GUIDELINES

Introduction

These Business Listing Guidelines explain the rules and standards for listing businesses on Kagoz. All business owners must follow these guidelines when creating or managing listings on our platform.

By listing your business on Kagoz, you agree to follow these guidelines and our Terms of Service. Violation of these guidelines may result in listing rejection, removal, or account suspension.

Who Can List a Business

You can list a business on Kagoz if you meet these requirements:

• You own the business or are an authorized representative with permission to create listings.
• Your business operates legally in Bangladesh with required licenses and permits.
• Your business has a physical location or service area in Bangladesh.
• You are at least 18 years old.
• You provide accurate and truthful information about your business.

You cannot list businesses that you do not own or represent. Creating unauthorized listings for competitors or other businesses violates our Terms of Service and may result in account termination.

Eligible Business Types

Kagoz accepts listings for legitimate businesses operating in Bangladesh across 24 categories including:

If your business type is not listed above, contact us at support@kagoz.com to discuss whether we can accept your listing.

Prohibited Business Types

We do not accept listings for:

• Illegal businesses or activities prohibited under Bangladesh law.
• Businesses selling illegal drugs, weapons, or prohibited substances.
• Adult entertainment, escort services, or sexually explicit businesses.
• Gambling or betting services (unless legally licensed in Bangladesh).
• Multi-level marketing (MLM) or pyramid schemes.
• Businesses that primarily operate outside Bangladesh.
• Fake, fraudulent, or non-existent businesses.
• Businesses that violate intellectual property rights.
• Businesses engaged in discriminatory practices.
• Work-from-home or online-only businesses without physical presence or service area in Bangladesh.

We reserve the right to reject any business listing that does not meet our quality standards or poses risks to users.

Required Information

Every business listing must include accurate and complete information:

Basic Information (Required):

• Business name (official registered name or commonly used name)
• Business category (select most appropriate from our 24 categories)
• Complete physical address with area, city, and postal code
• Working phone number where customers can reach you
• Email address for business communication
• Business hours for all days of the week

Additional Information (Recommended):

• Business description (what products or services you offer)
• At least 3 high quality photos of your business, products, or services
• Services offered or product categories
• Payment methods accepted (cash, bKash, cards, etc.)
• Website URL if you have one
• Social media links (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
• WhatsApp number for customer inquiries
• Special features (parking available, wheelchair accessible, etc.)

Providing complete information helps customers find and contact your business easily. Listings with more information receive higher visibility in search results.

Information Accuracy Standards

All information in your listing must be accurate, current, and truthful.

Photo Requirements

Photos help customers see your business before visiting. Follow these photo guidelines:

Upload at least 3 photos. Premium listings can upload unlimited photos. Photos must be in JPG or PNG format under 5MB each.

Verification Process

All business listings go through our verification process before publishing:

1. Automated Check: AI system checks for errors or inconsistencies.
2. Human Review: Verification team reviews listing details and photos.
3. Phone Verification: We call your business to verify basic details.
4. Address Verification: We verify address using Maps and public records.
5. Approval: Listing goes live and you receive notification.

Verification typically takes 24 hours. Premium members receive priority verification within 4 hours.

Verification Documentation

We may request supporting documents: Business registration, Trade license, TIN certificate, Professional licenses, Utility bills, or Storefront photos. Documents are kept confidential.

Updating Your Listing

Keep your listing current. Update when: phone numbers change, hours change, you relocate, services change, ownership changes, or for holiday hours. Log in to update; changes go through quick verification (usually 4 hours).

Locations & Duplicates

Multiple Locations

Create a separate listing for each specific address. Do not create one listing with multiple addresses. Contact us for multi-location discounts.

Duplicate Listings

Do not create multiple listings for the same location. Duplicate listings will be removed. Contact us to claim ownership of existing duplicates created by others.

Claiming Existing Listings

If someone else created a listing, claim it by: creating an account, finding the listing, clicking "Claim this business", and verifying ownership.

Premium Listing Guidelines

Premium listings receive additional visibility but must follow the same standards. Benefits include: Featured badge, top placement, unlimited photos, analytics dashboard, and priority support/verification.

Premium status does not exempt you from guidelines. Violations result in loss of premium status without refund.

Quality Standards

Listings should: Provide complete info, include high quality photos, use proper grammar, offer genuine value, and represent real Bangladesh businesses.

Appeals Process

If rejected/removed, appeal by emailing support@kagoz.com with business name and explanation. We review within 5 business days.

Special Business Types

Seasonal and Temporary Businesses

Seasonal businesses must indicate operating months and mark off-season closed. Temporary businesses must operate for at least 30 days.

Home Based Businesses

Allowed if legal and you meet customers. Clearly indicate home-based status. May list general area for privacy but must verify actual address with us.
